A Couples only, or at the very least adults only resort that few have heard of is the Coconut Beach Club located in a secluded estate on the outskirts of St John's Antigua. Here at this 38 room all inclusive beachfront resort you will find the peace and intimate tranquility that couples seek when they take a vacation.
The Coconut Beach Club caters very specifically to recently married couples taking an Antigua Honeymoon. It also caters very much for the older couple looking to unwind and perhaps rediscover what it was that made them fall in love in the first place.
Not only that, for the Coconut Beach Club also offers affordable Caribbean Beach Wedding Packages as well.
In a resort that does not accept children, you can expect peace and quiet, total relaxation, amazingly good food, and total and absolute discretion from very good staff.
All the accommodation units are beachfront, with doors that open onto private balconies complete with hammock, and then within a few paces the beach and the sea. Quite honestly if you can't relax here there is little hope for you!!
The rooms are in three storey blocks, and all have ceiling fans and airconditioning. They are a good size with lots of hanging space, good size bed, and bathroom.
Some guests just want to chill out and clear their brains of the pressures of work, so why not pamper yourself in the Wellness Cottage on the beach where you can choose a massage or a beauty treatment. Just walking in the tropical gardens is relaxing enough in itself, or you can take the nature walk.
There are three live entertainment evenings, and steel drums, or calypso is just so Caribbean and will live with you long after you return home from the Coconut Beach Club.
There is tennis, ocean kayaking, snorkelling, horseback riding for the more energetic, or a hike to the nearby ruins of Fort Barrington. There really is lots to do or not do, so if you prefer to lie under a thatch shade on the quite superb powder white sand or sunbathe by the pool where the poolside bar will make sure you have a nice cooler in your hand to refresh yourself.
The Coconut Beach Club definitely gives value for money on this very affordable vacation here in Antigua. If you have experienced some of the large all inclusive hotels on Antigua you will be more than a little surprised at the quality of the food and menus directed by a top London Chef.
There are two restaurants, and you will take an alfresco breakfast and lunch just a few yards from the beach.
At breakfast you can have your eggs cooked to order. The other restaurant is by the pool serving a gourmet dinner, where the menu cleverly rotates so you can stay for a fortnight and it is different every day. The food here is outstanding, as is the wine list.
The Coconut Beach Club is a hotel to recommend, not only because you can have a surprisingly affordable vacation here, but also because everything about it belies its three star rating including the wonderful smiling staff.
