As an Exclusive Resort the Jalousie Plantation has a reputation throughout the world, and it is an ideal place to take your honeymoon in St Lucia. Something that not everyone knows about however is that it could be just the place to choose for your wedding destination. The reason for this is the Jalousie Free Wedding Package for couples who stay 10 nights or longer.
The Jalousie Plantation sits on the side of a hill in the most glorious position on St Lucia which is right alongside the Twin Peaks of the Pitons. It has the most glorious sunsets, and is possibly the most beautiful setting for a hotel not only in St Lucia but also the whole Caribbean.
The property sits in over 300 acres of tropical forest full of native fruit trees and beautiful flowering shrubs. Such is its quality it has been named as a World Heritage Site, and the beach borders a protected underwater park.
This elegant and very exclusive resort has only 115 rooms, and the 18th century sugar mill on whose site it sits has actually been integrated into the resort. The beautiful white sand beach stretches for over a quarter of a mile, and the whole effect is quite stunning, with the dramatic Pitons, the turquoise sea, the white sand, and the tropical greenery of the surrounding forest.
Jalousie Plantation has four restaurants, featuring both buffet and a la carte dining. A Spa to pamper your body, with everything you could desire in the way of treatments, from massages, facials, body wraps, scrubs, nail and hair care, add to this a fitness centre, saunas, steam rooms, you have just about got the lot, whether it is to prepare you for the wedding or to unwind on your honeymoon in St Lucia.
The opinions of guests are almost always the key to making any decision about whether you will choose the Jalousie Plantation as a wedding destination or for your honeymoon in St Lucia.
Comments like "The Wedding was so well organised", The Wedding went off without a hitch", are very reassuring, as is "I'm glad we chose the Jalousie Plantation as our wedding destination". In terms of cost, then as you would expect for an exclusive resort the price isn't cheap at USD313 average price per night, and this will be room only. The next point therefore is how nice are the rooms, and this elicits comments like " Large, comfortable, beautiful views", on the other hand one or two guests noted that the rooms are due an upgrade, but who goes to the Caribbean to sit in their room. Generally the rooms receive a plus, and the ensuites were very acceptable.
It is possible to take an all inclusive plan at the Jalousie Plantation, and this seems sensible as the price of food on the whole is high, but this is usual for the Caribbean anyway.
All in all the Jalousie Plantation would be a good choice as a wedding destination, the wedding package looks a good deal, and a great place for a honeymoon in St Lucia. One comment and that is there is not much of a night life, and for an elegant exclusive resort the rooms are a little old fashioned but very comfortable. Could be a very good choice indeed.
