Everyone wants his or her holiday to York to be fun, exciting and adventurous. Murton Park has a Museum of Farming awaiting you as well as many other adventures. The farming museum takes you through different stages of farming throughout the year. This part of the Museum is called the Four Seasons. Then they have the Livestock Building, which tells you about all the big horses, pigs, cow and all the other farming animals. They have a little café on the grounds, shops, a playground for the kids, picnic area, live farm animals and even a railway. This is one place you can spend the entire day with the family.
The next place to take the family is to The Deep, which is an aquarium filled with adventure. You learn about the oceans from the early beginnings until now. You will see over thirty-five hundred fish and forty different sharks. All of this is seen through an underwater tunnel. The tunnel is all glass and the sharks and the fish are all floating around you. It is like being in an underwater submarine made of glass. Then they have Twilight Zone, which has some strange animals from the depths of the ocean. They have two restaurants were you can dine and watch the sharks with around. This is a great place to visit and spend the day.
Holidays to York would not be complete until you see the sights from the YorkBoat. This is a river cruise that offers a variety of guided tours including the ghost cruises. If you are not into the cruises, you can take a self-drive cruise with one of the motorboats. The sundeck is great for viewing the area as you cruise down the river. They do have a little shop and bar on board so you can enjoy a few drinks and relax. You can take these cruises during the day or at night.
There are two theme parks and York called the Creepy Crawlies and the York Maze. The Creepy Crawlies is mostly for kids under the age of twelve, but it is a great place for kids to play while parents sit and relax while having a snack and a soft drink. They have slides, a sports area and some weird activities for kids. They also have a petting zoo and a new outdoor activity area. The York Maze is wacky and fun. They have a golf maze and a walking maze that will baffle even the smartest of people. You can take the tractor ride through the maze and meet some of the animals that live inside this incredible maze.
The entire family will enjoy the adventure and fun in York. Even if you travel without the kids, you will enjoy the adventures. York is not just for families, it is a place for everyone to enjoy. The best part is the weather is always great for outdoors adventures. You will find something exciting to keep you busy and having fun.
