Jackets are a very important part of workwear. Apart from adding to the complete rugged look of the wearer, uniform jackets are also very important in protecting the wearer from extreme cold conditions. And in recent times, with the help of fire retardant fabrics, jackets are serving one more important purpose. They are protecting the wearers from fire. Yes, flame resistant jackets have already been introduced in the market, and they are protecting people from all kinds of accidental fire conditions in the workplace, and also adding to their rough worker look! The general material used for the manufacture of flame resistant jackets is a material known as INDURA. INDURA and its recent developed version of Ultra Soft are proving to be really great materials for keeping all kinds of stray fires away from the wearer and giving them a high degree of protection. The INDURA Ultra Soft material consists of a blend of cotton to an extent of 88% and high tenacity nylon to an extent of 12%. While nylon helps to resist the fire, the cotton material makes the jacket somewhat porous and helps the fabric to get aerated. Due to this reason, the person wearing the jacket does not feel unduly warm. Also the INDURA Ultra Soft material that is used in making the flame resistant jackets is extremely resistant to all kinds of accidental fires and high temperature conditions in the workplace, such as those caused due to spurting, bubbling or splashing of molten materials, high furnace temperatures, flash fires, welding flames, etc. The material is quite durable too – the jacket might wear away, but its flame resistant properties will not wear off. The best part of the flame resistant jackets is that they can be personalized in a number of ways in order to add to their look. There are all standard looks for the flame resistant jackets available, with different kinds of pockets. The cross pockets are very popular with the jackets, which are secured with brass zippers. In addition, there are places where tools like screwdrivers, rulers, compasses, etc. can be held. There are many exciting colors to choose from too, like the ever popular denim colors, and different shades of browns, blues and blacks. Unconventional colors can also be specially ordered for and obtained. Flame resistant jackets can weigh anywhere between 10 to 15 ounces, depending on their size and thickness. They have brass zippers up in the front, which helps them to retain their flame resistant properties, and they are attached to the jacket with the means of Nomex tape. Nomex is a fire resistant adhesive material that is almost a standard in all kinds of flame resistant wear. Similar brass zippers are used on all the breast pockets and side pockets. The flame resistant jackets can be easily complimented with a whole flame resistant ensemble, like shirts, workpants, jeans and even boots and hoods. Online retailers have a great range of several kinds of flame resistant jackets that can be personalized for you in whichever way you choose. You can embroider your company's logo on them, or can screen print an image for you.
