You have been hearing about the chemicals in your body that can attract or turn off another person. Exactly what are these? Well, the jury is still out on the topic of a chemical romance formula. However, since it is a subject of concern for people, you can now purchase special pills that are touted to help your body send out chemicals that will attract someone of the opposite sex.
Some people believe that you can smell these chemicals while others say that your body is reacting to the other person and that there is no smell involved. Romance is more than just a chemical reaction to someone. There are a lot of different levels when it comes to romance and love and all of them are important.
Let us assume that the chemical romance factor is real. For some reason that you do not understand, you are instantly drawn to a certain person. They are not usually the type you go out with, but for some reason you want to date this person. And, let us say that you get the date and that everything goes well, in the beginning. How long does this chemical romance last? Will it go on in spite of the fact that you are complete opposites?
You like romantic dates; he wants to go to a sports bar. You want to have a nice dinner out; he does a fast food drive through. You want to spend time alone; he wants to have all of the guys over. You work hard at a full time job; he is unemployed. The list of differences goes on. Will your chemical romance survive these differences? Probably not—reality will set in and the differences will become annoying and might set in motion the wheels that will eventually end this relationship.
People have long believed that the sense of smell was directly related to whether or not you were attracted to another person. That is one of the reasons why perfume and shaving lotion is so popular and the ads so alluring. On television and billboards, they show beautiful young woman and gorgeous young men who are drawn to each other based on the scent of the perfume or after shave lotion. In addition, the sense of smell has set into motion with lovers the use of beautiful flowers, special oils, candles and fresh scents that both people will find appealing.
So, is there such a thing as a chemical romance or is this just a romantic idea created by manufacturers who want to sell you something? The choice is hard to make, but it is an individual choice made by each person.
Maybe there is an initial chemical reaction to another person, but there is more to romance than that. It the relationship is going to last, it will take more than that to make survive. Romance and love is based more on long term interaction and goals-it is based on trust, understanding, compassion, respect and a dozen other daily interactions you will have. Remember, that romance and love should last a lifetime.
