There is a wise saying that advises never to appreciate in so many words gifts that you do not wish to receive next year. Unfortunately, you never heard of it so you profusely praised your reclusive co-worker's gift of a flask set, even when you see no real use for it except as a dust collector. You did not want to hurt feelings, huh?
So, what do you get next year and the year after that, ad infinitum? The same flask set only in different sizes and colors, only this time your other co-workers have taken it upon themselves, too. Talk about unwanted gifts. But wait! You can use these for other purposes.
As Fishing Accessories
If you are into fishing, you can use a flask set to carry around an insect repellant. Pour the liquid using the funnel and off you go to an insect-free fishing expedition! You need not worry about bringing those bulky bottles, which more often that not, sport feminine designs.
What use is there in engaging in a traditionally masculine sport carrying in your pocket that kind of bottle? With the flask, you give off masculine vibes. Now, if only those fishes can feel your vibes and just hook their cute little mouths into your worm-laden bait.
As for the shot cups, why not use these as worm carrier? Admittedly, you might find these quite inadequate for the job but at least you have something to contain your baits for a while.
You can also use the flask to store your favorite beverage. Of course, a water bottle is niftier to have due to its larger capacity but a flask can contain your favorite energy drink, or tea, or coffee, or what-have-you. Those hours of waiting for the fish to be fooled sure can take a toll on your throat. However, be very sure that you drink the beverage and slather on the repellant instead of the other way around.
As Camping Items
It never hurts to be a Boy Scout. Always be prepared especially when communing with Mother Nature, even when said communion is in your backyard woods.
You can use the flask set for these purposes:
* Smuggle your favorite whisky to keep you warm during cold nights and keep you company during warm nights. Sometimes, a man needs only his wine to miss his wife.
* Carry your mosquito repellant to keep you free from vampire-like mosquitoes out to deny you your spiritual reawakening and a few precious drops of blood. Or maybe that's just their instinct.
* Keep your liquid medication particularly as the flask is spill-proof. You certainly do not want to trudge out into the night to get your medicines from the house just because you spilled them all over the forest floor. Not when it is the dark of night.
As Play Toys
You can give the small cups of the flask set to your young female relatives as play items. At least, they will find some use for them. You can even join in an imaginary tea party!
Of course, you can always use the flask set to travel especially when you like your favorite mix anywhere you go. But unless you travel often, you can always use the excess flask sets to good use short of throwing them away.
