If you haven't heard about the property buzz on Cyprus, then it's about time that you did. People from all over are clamoring to this once forgotten island to buy their piece of island paradise. Construction sites dot every region of this majestic island, and the sound of hammers ring out in the shadowed valleys. This is a land that is transforming. Economy and tourism are on the rise. Virtually everything on this beautiful island is improving, expanding and becoming more and more attractive to buyers.
Most of the improvements that Cyprus has made recently are due to the island's acceptance as a full member of the European Union. As such, Cyprus is enjoying increased trade and a more favorable position in the global economic market. As the island becomes wealthier, more people want to visit and buy property here.
If you aren't among those vying for a piece of property on Cyprus, you should be. Undeveloped land is being sold at very reasonable rates as are developed lots. And all signs point to a large increase in property values over the next few years. All of this means that you can buy property in Cyprus for a reasonable price, hold onto it for a few years and enjoy all of the benefits that come along with a nice chunk of property capital.
But where should you buy? The following are some of the best regions to buy:
• Paphos – As the historic capital of Cyprus, Paphos is full of historical and archaeological treasure dating back to the Roman Empire. There is also an abundance of vacant land for sale in the region of Paphos. This mountainous region is breathtaking. Wildlife, wooded areas and small villages abound.
• Larnaca – If you want to live on the beach, Larnaca is an ideal place to settle. Located on the Southeast coast of Cyprus. There are still a lot of properties in this area for sale although major hotel and resort construction is slated for the near future. The town of Larnaca is full of shops, cafes, bars and tourist attractions.
• Nicosia – Nicosia is situated at the center of the island of Cyprus. If you're looking for a luxury condo or vacation home, Nicosia is the place to start your search. Luxury living complexes are being built now. But they will go quick.
• Kyrenia – Kyrenia is considered to be the Harbour City of Cyprus. Located in Northern Cyprus, Kyrenia attracts a great deal of tourism. Waterfront living combined with idyllic shops and restaurants makes Kyrenia a great option when it comes to purchasing property.
As mentioned before, now is the ideal time to purchase property in Cyprus. Cost is relatively low and there are still many properties to choose from. But demand is high, which means that prices will rise dramatically in the near future. If you can purchase Cyprus property while prices are low, you stand to gain a great deal of capital when prices soar.
