Frisco, Texas is on the rise as one of the fastest growing cities in the US due to its outstanding location just minutes from the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. The town is located in the booming "Golden Corridor" along the newly extended Dallas North Tollway. Frisco straddles Collin and Denton counties, and offers prime real estate on the east and west side of the North Dallas Tollway. It is bordered by the City of Little Elm to the west (Lake Lewisville), Plano to the east which is close to the Northern tip of Dallas. It takes roughly 25 minutes to reach downtown from Frisco, TX. The City of Frisco has kept up with the population explosion by building new venues for entertainment, shopping and dining. Residents of this exciting city don't have to venture far to find sporting events at the Dr. Pepper Center and Rough Riders Stadium or shopping at Stonebriar Mall. Restuarants and retail outlets are cropping up as fast as they can be built, making Frisco Texas a great place to live! Frisco Texas Real Estate You can find Frisco Real Estate for just about every need from the Townhomes of the Bella Casa neighborhood off the Tollway by DR Horton to the new homes in Grayhawk, to the existing homes in The Trails of West Frisco, there is no end to the home and custom homes you'll find. Frisco also has a number of golf courses and luxury estates by customer builders such as Huntington Homes, Highland and Sotherby. Luxury homes with such features as fireplaces and swimming pools are available in subdivisions such as Stonebriar Creek, Starwood, and the Villages of Stonebriar Park. Although the majority of housing options are single-family homes, there are some condos and townhouses available starting in the mid-$100,000s. Because of the explosive growth in Frisco, land and lots for custom home builds are available, but they are going fast. Frisco is loaded with new home neighborhoods and local home builders such as Mercedes Homes and David Weekley. Popular neighborhoods in Frisco include: Chapel Creek, Heather Ridge, Heritage Green, Cypress Creek, Pearson Farms, Shaddo9ck Reek Estates, Starwood, Stonebriar and the Trails of West Frisco. Frisco Entertainment Frisco is quickly becoming "the place to be" on the weekends with the following options for shopping, concerts, shows and sporting events: · Dr. Pepper 7/Up Ballpark · Pizza Hut Soccer Park · Dr. Pepper Star Center (Hockey Stadium) · Stonebriar Center (Shopping Mall) · Westin Stonebriar Resort Frisco Schools Frisco Texas Schools are great because of the low teacher-student ratio. It's as much of a privilege to teach in Frisco as it is to be a student here. Frisco ISD is considered to be among the fastest growing school districts growing by 20 to 30% annually for the past eight years. In 1995 Frisco had just four schools, today we have 29 new schools in development with 18 of those schools currently functioning. Frisco continues to raise the standardized test score averages of its students, which are well above state and national averages. FISD takes security seriously with a number of safety/security systems in place or underway. The security measures implemented for the schools include high resolution cameras in highly traffic areas, security on campus and controlled access. The sizes of the schools in Frisco are intentionally smaller than the national average. Elementary schools are built to educate 700 students, middle schools serve 800 to 1,000 and highschools serve just 1500 to 1800 students. The reason for Frisco's commitment to smaller teacher/student ratio is to allow teachers and students to form better relationships and to serve the children's need to be involved in extracurricular activies.
