There are a lot dogs today that can never stay in one place. They have to run around exploring every nook of your property, as well as your neighbors'. This results to unfriendly visits of neighbors to your door. Worse, your dog could end up getting lost or injured, or perhaps has injured somebody else. To prevent any of these scenarios from happening, you need to find a way to keep your dogs from leaving your place. The only way to do that is to create the best electric dog fence there is. Why Not a Leash Instead? A leash would basically do the same thing, but it just ties your dog into a pole. The dog may even attempt to leave only to cause bruises in the neck. Short leashes will limit his movement, and a long one runs the risk of entangling him or destroying something. A pen does no good either. Even if it removes the pain in the neck, it leaves your dog with nothing to do. And what about a high fence? Well, millions of dogs have figured out how to dig under a fence if jumping was impossible. Building the Best Electric Dog Fence The remaining option is also the best; it has been proven that the electric dog fences don't just contain pets but also train them in the process. Furthermore, the best electric dog fence is invisible, since it relies on radio signals to create the barrier that will discourage dogs from crossing. There are two ways to create the barrier. The first one is to run a long wire around your property, much like a simple series circuit. A signal generator is attached to the wires, which, in turn, emits a signal where they are located. You now have a property that is bounded by a wall made by radio signals. On the other hand, you can forego of the wires and use a powerful transmitter instead. As long as it is positioned properly in your house, it can broadcast a signal in all directions with a maximum range of 90 feet. The transmitter has created bubble of radio signal where your pet can safely play. On both cases, you have the dog wearing a special collar fitted with a receiver. In a wired setup, the receiver knows it has reached the boundary because it senses a signal. In the wireless setup, the receiver knows it is in the boundary zone when it doesn't detect a signal. Though the methods may be different, the end result is the same. The receiver sounds an alarm; if the dogs still stays in the boundary zone, a mild static correction will be given. Which System Can Be Called the Best? Though both tout that they are safe (and they are), one can build the best electric dog fence using the wireless setup. Why is that? This is because it is easier to install while providing the similar functionality. Though it has disadvantages, it makes up for them by allowing the owner to adjust the size of the play area. The wireless fence can also be brought outdoors, allowing you to bring your dog anywhere you please.
