While many people prefer a glass picture frame as a means of showing off family photos, other people prefer a keepsake glass box. Typically, teenage girls and young women go for an item such as this although there are numerous styles available for people of all ages and both genders. Just like a frame, these boxes can be used for displaying photos but some boxes are designed to hold additional photos to switch out with the main one or the box could be used for storing trinkets.
The keepsake glass box comes in a wide variety of sizes and styles so no matter the occasion, you are sure to find the perfect choice. As an example, if you were becoming a bride and needed something special for the bridal party, a gift that would be appreciated but also a gift they would use, then this would be ideal. For around $20, you could purchase your bridal party a classic oval-shaped keepsake glass box with intricate detailing. On the outside, you could place a photo of you and each of the bridesmaids and on the inside with the silk or velvet lining, a pair of earrings or other small gift.
Another great option for a keepsake glass box is one with the base made of sterling silver. This type of box is simply beautiful and very elegant. If wanted, you could have special engraving added to the bottom portion of the box on the front side, perhaps with a note of love or appreciation, or the name and date of the person receiving the gift. Let us say that you were looking for a gift for Mother's Day but you wanted something you knew she would really love. A keepsake glass box would be perfect, one that displayed a photo of you and your mom.
You will even find friendship keepsake boxes that could be given just because. Sometimes, we get so busy in life that we forget to stop and say thanks to the one friend who has stood by us through good and bad times. However, adding a photo to the keepsake glass box, one of the two of you during a special time together would prove to be the best gift your friend ever received. You could choose a box made of pewter or white wood for a more feminine look.
Of course, a keepsake glass box is not just for women. If you want to do something nice for the man in your life, you will find some very handsome designs. For instance, you might choose a stainless steel or black painted box with his initials on the edge and the photo could be one of a romantic moment shared. Then on the inside of the keepsake glass box, you might offer a gift such as an engraved lighter, man's ring, Figaro bracelet, tickets to his favorite sporting event, etc.
Finally, perhaps you want to create a place within the home where you can display photos of your family and friends for all to see. In this case, choosing a glass picture frame in varying sizes along with a keepsake glass box would look gorgeous. For about $25-30, you might choose an oval, cubic or rectangular box featuring stained glass or patterned glass in the same style as the picture frame. While this type of keepsake box would not be used for photos, you could keep small mementos of special life events inside that would complement the picture frames.
