There are many types of styles made from many different types of materials. Choosing the right material depends on what the resort owner feels his/her clients will like as well as the personal taste of the resort owner shining through. Other contributing factors is whether to have your deck covered or uncovered and of course do not forget your budget.
While planning your strategy in choosing the perfect deck furniture for your resort do not forget to prioritize. You need to pick the type of material your new items will be made of. Common materials used in this venture are wood, rattan, metal, plastic and wicker.
Wooden Furniture
Patio furniture made of wood is very popular and tends to last longer than other materials. Wooden deck furniture can withstand the elements such as rainy weather seasons as well as very hot summers. It is important to treat your wooden outdoor items with water resistant coating materials in protecting it from drying out or becoming damaged. Wooden items are a great choice for entertaining due to the strong foundation of the furniture. The flexibility of various looks with this type of furniture is endless. Rattan is a material made from a tree. Rattan is found within tropical regions of Africa, Australia and Asia. The rattan vines are cut from the tree and peeled, then steamed to make them more pliable. Rattan is typically used for weaving materials. Rattan is very susceptible to pain and stains similar to other kinds of woods. It is available in various colors and can be shaped or formed into various styles.
Wicker and rattan furniture is typically less expensive compared to hardwood. If you want to change your investment frequently at your resort without purchasing new the rattan or wicker material would be the best choice for you.
Plastic Furniture
Plastic outdoor furniture is hands down the cheapest option for your resort deck furniture. Plastic objects are very easily maintained. It also stands strong against the natural elements except for strong winds of course. Keep in mind that this type of furniture on average only lasts for one season.
Plastic can break very easily. Make sure you study the safety aspect of this type of furniture in conjunction with your customers. This type of furniture is not recommended for children because it tends to break or tip over. If you are looking for fast and cheap patio furniture then plastic is the best choice for you.
