Hair removal can be a rather daunting task for both men and women. Ridding yourself of unwanted hair not only consumes a great deal of time, but can be rather expensive. So, what are the options available to you on hair removal when you're on a budget? The most common method of removing hair is to shave. Every woman or man must shave specific parts of his or her body, most oftentimes on a daily basis. Shaving can remove his or hers hair for as little as a day and as long as eight days. The length of time it takes to shave ones hair varies from person to person. One primary advantage of shaving is that razors are relatively cheap and the shaving process itself is rather quick. Also, there are numerous types of razors available: three black, four blades, disposable and electric, experiment with each type to find out which is most ideal for you. Main disadvantage of shaving is razor burns, cuts, bumps and irritated skin. Another form of inexpensive hair removal is tweezing. Tweezing involves using a pair of tweezers to pluck hairs from your skin. The hair takes longer to grow back than shaving because you're actually pulling the hair out at its root. The hair then has to grow a new root, which takes a longer time than just shaving it from where it extrudes from your skin. With tweezing, it's possible to keep you hairless for up to one to two weeks. Main advantage of tweezing is that it last much longer than shaving. A major disadvantage of tweezing is that it takes longer to tweeze hairs than shave, because you're essentially removing one hair at a time. Tweezing can also be a fairly painful experience. Ingrown hairs and reddening of the skin are common outcomes for tweezed areas of the body. Another effective method is to wax the skin to remove hairs. This method has its similarities with tweezing, but over a much larger area of the skin. During the waxing process, hot wax is spread thickly over the area where hair is to be removed. The wax is allowed to cool slightly, and then the wax is pulled off the skin in one single motion. Waxing can remove hair for up to six weeks. However, waxing is very painful; it rips many hairs out simultaneously at the root. Waxing leaves you hair free for a much longer period than tweezing or shaving, but is it worth the pain? That is something only you can answer for yourself. Waxing can also leave the affected area of skin red for a short period of time. Hair removal can be accomplished in numerous ways. How you choose to do it depends on your own personal preference. It's up to you to decide how much money and time you're willing to spend. Moreover, make sure you're able to handle some pain if you opt for waxing or laser hair removal. Keep experimenting till you find a method that is most ideal for you.
