Lipodissolve: Taking Medicine to a Dangerous New Level?

Whenever someone has a surgical procedure done, one of the things they worry about is whether or not there will be scarring. These are purely cosmetic concerns, but actually some of the scars can really look quite ugly even to a person who is not vain at all. Lipodissolve is a new kind of weight loss surgery that eliminates the concern for scarring. Usually, when a person has a procedure like liposuction, the incision that is made just below the navel, but that can leave a visible scar for those who prefer to go shirtless. Lipodissolve was created so that people could lose the weight, but not worry about scarring. Since it is a minimally-invasive procedure as well, the patients does not have to deal with the risks that come along with what might happen during a procedure that requires total anesthetization. The Lipodissolve process itself involves injecting a chemical into the layer of fat that needs to be removed. The purpose of the chemical is to dissolve the clusters of fat, thus giving the person (usually a woman) a more appealing physique. The Lipodissolve procedure seems almost too good to be true, and in many cases it is. This procedure, since it is still new on the market, is actually not FDA approved. Those who have had the procedure done have experienced a numerous amount of side effects that make the procedure itself rather questionable. For example, some people have more allergies than other people, and so it comes as no surprise that some of these people are allergic to the chemical that is being used in the injections. Most surgeons will test for any allergies beforehand, but because the amount of the chemical used in the actual procedure is not regulated, the overall outcome cannot be anticipated until the actual event. Another thing that has been criticized about this procedure is the fact that the fat, while liquefied, actually doesn't become eliminated by the body. The scary thing is that it is unknown exactly where that fat ends up, which poses additional health risks. Aside from there not being a possibility of scarring, another reason why people are drawn to this procedure is because they think they will see results immediately. Ironically, it usually takes a long time for people to see results after the procedure – sometimes up to a year! One of the reasons is because it takes a while for the body to adjust to its changing shape. That doesn't stop people from still getting the procedure done because of the lower price. On average, this procedure is 30% cheaper than liposuction. That, paired with flexible payment plans, is enough for some people to risk their health in order to save money. If you are interested in having a weight loss procedure done, you should make sure that you do all the research you possible can. This particular procedure, until it is approved by the FDA, is currently discouraged amongst most professionals. Maybe it's better to stick to a healthy diet and exercise.
