You had always been the kind of person to keep fit. You were into soccer when you were younger, and you also enjoyed swimming. However, your midsection started getting a little more jiggly after the birth of your first child, and it just got worse after the next two children. So, you decided it was finally time to take action. Specifically, you wanted a liposuction, and you wanted one as soon as possible. You told your mother about your plans to undergo a liposuction procedure first. Your mother had always been the voice of reason for you, and would tell you if, in fact, you were crazy. Actually, all it took was you to utter the word "liposuction", and that was indeed enough for your mother to pronounce you as having officially lost your mind. What's wrong with a little paunch – you already have yourself a husband, there's no need trying to look like you're eternally twenty years old anymore! You responded by saying that, really, it was no big deal, it's just liposuction. Your mother said that it was, in fact, a very big deal, and one that would be expensive, too. Sure, celebrities got that procedure done, but they also happened to be a lot richer than you. Where did you expect to get the money? You said that you had a little nest egg put away. Your mother said that it was nest eggs like those that would do wonders in helping pay college tuition down the line. You just simply shook your head. Your mother wasn't done, however. She wanted to know why you couldn't just exercise. She knew full well that you had been going to the gym for months now and not seen any results. Honestly, your mother could be so annoying at times. It was a good thing that when you explained your decision to your family that they understood. You made an appointment with a cosmetic surgeon, and before you knew it, the date of the procedure was scheduled. The doctor had told you that he would be extracting the excess fat that is stored right below your epidermal layer. The recovery time would be a few days. So, you tried to relax, and underwent the procedure. When you work up, you noted that while you felt swollen, you still felt lighter. The doctor came in and announced that he had removed a whopping 20 pounds of fat! You felt so relieved, and at the same time were shocked at how much fat had accumulated in just one area. Of course, this didn't mean that your new , flatter stomach would be that way forever. You had to go on a diet and exercise to keep this new svelte look. You weren't too thrilled about this, but you knew that the procedure had provided you with the necessary kick start. It is now six months later, and you've lost an extra 30 pounds. People can't stop complementing you on your new appearance, and you can't stop smiling.
