A Review Of The Adora Income Opportunity

There are many home-based sales companies that rely on the home party experience. Adora, a bath and spa product company that specializes in products for women is one of the many home party based businesses to recently hit the scene. The founder, who simply goes by the name Genea, is an Ivy League school graduate who is interested in sharing her vision and success with women of ‘all walks of life'. Based out of Kernersville, North Carolina, Adora offers a no risk 100% money back guarantee on all of their products. The company has partnered with the Make-A-Wish foundation and has had an ad featured in the summer 2005 edition of Entrepreneur magazine. This seems to be the only information listed on the Adora website as far as background information is concerned. All of their products are manufactured at the Kernersville facility. Developed over a two year period of time with help from chemist Clifton Sanders, Adora offers a full line of spa and beauty products that help maintain a women's overall well-being. From head to toe, the company strives to use natural ingredients, such as Shea butter and antioxidants, in their products. They also offer a line of gift products which include relaxation CDs and aromatherapy candles. Products are offered in both sets and individual items. Cost ranges from $12.00 to $55.00. Unfortunately, Adora does not list the approximate sizes of the product which makes it difficult for someone to be able to cost compare with other companies offering similar products. Women who are interested in becoming an Adora consultant will find an informative F.A.Q. on the website that covers the basic questions, such as ‘Do I need to carry an inventory', ‘How do I become an Adora consultant', and ‘How much can I expect to earn'. The company offers three starter kits, ranging from $66.90 to $205.00, allowing women on the lower income bracket to still be able to afford what she needs to get started in her own business. Payment methods accepted on the sign-up form is by credit card, although there is an option to print the form and mail to the physical address listed for payment by check or money order. Adora offers bonuses on consultant's sales, both for the home party and individual sales volumes as well as gift certificates, manicures and other things that are not specifically listed. Anyone becoming a consultant needs to make sure they read the contractual agreement carefully. It does specify that the consultant must have a single minimum core sales order of $400 placed with Adora within three calendar months of them accepting the consultant agreement. There are other provisions within the agreement that the prospective consultant should be aware of concerning the amount of product they will need to sell on a three-month basis that could keep some people from truly turning this into a lucrative business. Upon further inspection of the website, it has been noted that neither the site nor the items listed have been updated since 2005-2006. The customer service telephone number is no longer in service and e-mails are not answered. Although a great and unique idea for a relaxing spa party, Adora seemed to be geared towards more affluent consultants and customers, and there is question as to whether or not Adora is still in business.
