The word vacation is associated with fun, frolic and relaxation. Apart from indulging in activities that bring happiness that are stress free we might forget to exercise and have control over our taste buds and tend to gain weight. Why not we spend our vacation happily but at the same time having a watch as to what we are consuming. There are several ways to avoid weight gain during your vacation by having control on your diet and doing some simple exercises but still enjoying the vacation. If the vacation includes a hotel stay the following precautions can be adopted. The first item to look for in the brochure apart from the glossy pictures is whether a gym provided. See to that you find time from your schedules to spend time at the gym and you are regular at it. Do not find excuses to avoid using the gym as you might pile on the extra pounds, which you were trying hard to keep it at bay at home. When packing clothes for your vacation see that you pack your jogging shoes. Apart from exercising you get to explore the place too. Some experienced dietitian's advice that it is always better to walk or jog around the tourist spot. This not only helps you to burn calories, you can save the cab expenditure. Do not accept the key to the in-room mini bar. This shall prevent you from snacking and paying extra money on your food bill. Carry healthy snacks with you: It is a very wise thing to carry healthy snacks wherever you are traveling. Snacks can include protein bars or some almonds. This shall prevent you from reaching to snacks that are unhealthy. You can carry these easy to eat snacks in zip lock bag. Always carry water and keep yourself hydrated. Sipping on water prevents you from drinking aerated drinks, which are empty calories, which adds on to your weight. Some of the hotel you stay provides you complimentary breakfast, lunch or dinner see that you resist from eating calorie-laden foods, which are highly tempting. Fill your stomach with healthy fruits or salads. Avoid pastries that are rich in fat content. When in some foreign shores you shall be tempted to try some exotic dishes that help in weight gain. Find out the ingredients before consuming. It is necessary to have a proper full meal so that you shall avoid snacking in between in new places. During vacations we are tempted to leave all are cautions behind and indulge in alcohol more than the normal. This shall definitely increase your girth line. Enjoy alcohol in moderation so that you avoid unnecessary complications in the form of hangover. This may hamper you from relaxing on your vacations. Take up some interesting sport activity that shall provide you fun and if you are with children you shall be spending qualitative time with them that you might not be able to do at home. If you are at some sea resort surfing is an excellent choice. Indulge in activities that not only make you fit you shall go back home relaxed.
