Many times a home might just not seem like a home until you've got those perfect details that you have always dreamed about. These are all questions that you are going to want to answer as you begin to shop for lights. If you need bright lights for a work space, you are going to want ceiling mounted lights, and yes, they might even be florescent. If you need reading lights, you want to stick with lamps, but you want to make sure that they are bright enough to read by, yet not too bright. If you want to accent things like art or various areas, you can always go with track lighting because that way you can manually focus each bulb to the exact place you'd like it.
If you first figure out what type of room you've got to light, and then think about which type of lighting will work best in that room, you will be able to find the perfect lamps or light fixtures for your every need, and you will be able to install them in your home.
