Rihanna is declaring that she will leave the plunging necklines and skimpy skirts at home when she plays at Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur Stadium for her Good Girl Gone Bad Tour. The scheduled date for the appearance in Kuala Lumpur is February 13. Rihanna follows in the footsteps of Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne, both of whom adorned clothes with considerably more fabric than their usual attire in order to comply with the government guidelines regarding dress codes in the Muslim-majority country. Female performers are required to be covered from the top of their chests including shoulders, to her knees. Apparently Rihanna's management company has noted that it is aware of the regulations, especially after concerts performed by Stefani and Lavigne created an angry stir among conservative Malaysian Muslims. A branch of the Malaysian government critiqued Lavigne's onstage dance moves as, "too sexy" last year, but is now more concerned with the sexiness factor of Rihanna. For more information on tour dates be sure to check out http://www.stubhub.com/rihanna-tickets. Rihanna found stardom in the dance-pop music industry when her smash hit "Pon de Replay" hit the airwaves and created a sensation among listeners in 2005 and was quickly followed by another charting single, "If It's Lovin' That You Want," which broke the Top 40. Her sophomore effort, an album titled A Girl Like Me, gave Rihanna even more notoriety, spawning the singles: "S.O.S.," "Unfaithful" and "Break It Off." Amazingly, these two albums would not even compare to Rihanna's third effort, which blew the others right out of the water. Good Girl Gone Bad arrived in all its glory in 2007. It was a change in direction for singing sensation, who had previously relied on Caribbean style beats mixed into her music. Good Girl Gone Bad emerged as a first class dance-pop album, delivering up some deliciously danceable numbers that infiltrated club speakers around the world. Rihanna had some superstar help from the likes of Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Timbaland and Stargate on the record and her hard work paid off. Three singles, "Umbrella," "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia" all shot to the number one spot on the charts, and Good Girl Gone Bad became Rihanna's best selling CD thus far. Check out a pair of Rihanna tickets to see why this young pop star enjoyed such a steady climb to success. Rihanna grew up in the remoteness of the small island of Barbados in the West Indies. The isolation as a young girl did not impede her dreams or damper her desires. Her chance to break free from the small confines of the island finally arrived in the form of producer Evan Rogers, who was vacationing in Barbados when he met the talented Rihanna. Rogers had spent many years producing hit songs for such well-known superstars in the music industry as *NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Kelly Clarkson and Rod Stewart, among others. It was a fairly easy road to success at that point, as Rihanna joined in the company of Def Jam president "Jay-Z" Carter. From there, Rihanna couldn't stop her steady rise to the top of the charts and into fans' hearts.
