Ways to Exchange Your Used Blackberry For a Newer One

Whatever your reasons are for wanting to exchange a used Sprint BlackBerry for another, be it performance issues, or simply aesthetics, getting the ideal BlackBerry model of your dreams doesn't have to be a difficult endeavour. There are a couple of different ways this can be accomplished, both online and off, and we'll discuss the pros and cons of each below. The simplest and most reliable way to exchange your used BlackBerry for a new or refurbished BlackBerry is to take your old device directly to a retailer, be it the one you purchased the product at, or another outlet with similar service. Be sure to pack up everything that came with your original BlackBerry, including any cords, software CD's, and packaging - if you still have it all. Not having one or more components may reduce the trade-in value of your device, or negate the possibility of an exchange entirely, as the retailer needs to refurbish and resell the device, and can't do so if key parts are missing. In the event that nothing is amiss, you'll be granted a nice credit towards the purchase of a new or refurbished BlackBerry. The carrier will then refurbish the phone and resell it for a profit, so it's a win/win for the both of you. Another possibility is to trade your phone in online, which comes with some pros, but also several cons which must be taken into consideration. On the positive side, you have a wide selection of places to shop your phone around, ensuring you'll get the best possible trade-in value for it. Many sites will also offer to send you a postage paid box to mail your phone in, which saves you a lot of time and energy. There are of course a couple of major cons to doing this. The amount of time it can take to go through the process can be quite long, throughout which you won't have access to a BlackBerry - unless you purchase a replacement first and then go through the process of exchanging your old one for a credit or refund of some sort. Another major concern is whether or not you'll receive any credit at all. Numerous online retailers will use any trick they can to separate you from your BlackBerry at as little cost to them as possible. This can include them telling you the condition of your device is not up to snuff, or that it's missing some important component that they need. Your trade-in value may be reduced from the rates shown on the site, or you may not be paid at all. As with many things online, take the time to carefully research potential sites and be scouring different website review style sites, where customers can leave fair and unbiased reviews of a site's service, and use that information to help make an informed decision on which site to trade with. Rest assured, there are plenty of great services out there that are worth taking the time to identify and use.
