Telekinesis: The Power of the Mind

Telekinesis, also called psychokinesis (PK) or simply "mind over matter," is the ability to move or bend objects with no physical contact strictly using the powers of the mind alone. It is, perhaps, one of the rarest of all the psychic abilities as very few people have demonstrated this fascinating phenomenon and there are still many skeptics who do not believe telekinesis is even possible. Some famous people known for having telekinetic abilities include Uri Geller, one of the most well known psychics in all the world who become widely known after appearing on a British radio show in the early 1970s. Geller, who naysayers insist is nothing more than a skilled magician, bent a key while being interviewed on the show and then asked listeners to participate from home. Soon the station was flooded with calls from people all over the UK saying that their spoons, knives, forks, keys, and nails were now bent or twisted and watches and clocks that hadn't run in years suddenly began to work again. Besides the remarkable feats of Geller, Russian Nina Kulagina's telekinetic powers were captured on film, and Stanislawa Tomczyk, a Polish woman living in early 1900s, demonstrated her remarkable telekinesis abilities in a controlled testing environment in front of many witnesses. Levitation is another type of telekinesis in addition to moving or altering objects within the physical world using only one's psychic abilities. Many people have discovered that they have this unique ability, some by accident and others while purposely trying to develop their psychic skills. The basic theory behind telekinesis is that on a molecular level, everything is made up of matter containing energy and because we know that energy can be manipulated in a number of different ways, psychokinesis should therefore be completely possible. Developing Your Telekinetic Skills Learning how to develop telekinetic skills takes plenty of practice and great concentration as well as a strong belief that it is actually possible to move objects using just the mind alone. A positive attitude and the will to succeed are imperative along with believing that you can and will achieve telekinesis. Experts recommend starting out with lightweight items such as a piece of paper or a small feather and to begin by focusing all of your attention and energy on the task at hand. Try not to think about telekinesis directly, potentially putting stress and tension at the forefront of the process rather than allowing yourself to relax and enjoy learning how to develop your inherent abilities. It's rather common for a myriad of random thoughts to enter your mind, which is why regular practice and learning how to control your breathing are equally important aspects of achieving telekinesis. Visualisation techniques are also a large part of telekinesis. Another way of learning how to develop your telekinetic skills is practicing with a compass needle. Using a compass that you won't actually need to use again for its real, intended purpose, place it face up and flat on a table with one or both of your hands hovering just above while clearing your mind of absolutely everything else. Concentrate on moving the needle in one certain direction while thinking of nothing other than this. Influencing a candle flame, in a draft-free room, of course, is another good way of practicing telekinesis, then, after you have achieved this or something quite similar, try to bend a fork, key or spoon remembering not to be discouraged if it doesn't happen right away as this skill could potentially take years to develop.
